Production and Scientific Capabilities
Nile SPF operates specialized facilities designed for the production and management of Specific Pathogen-Free (SPF) eggs under controlled biosecurity systems.
Core capabilities include closed SPF flock breeding, controlled biosecurity environments including HEPA-filtered positive-pressure air systems, structured surveillance and laboratory testing programs aligned with recognized SPF references, and traceability and batch documentation throughout the production cycle.
Nile SPF’s Role in the Development of SPF Production
Nile SPF was established during the early expansion of Specific Pathogen-Free egg production worldwide. At that time, only a small number of specialized SPF producers existed globally, including SPAFAS in the United States and Lohmann Breeders Vaccine in Germany.
Through international scientific collaboration involving Lohmann Breeders and Egyptian authorities, Egypt established an early dedicated SPF production facility serving vaccine production, scientific research, and controlled biological applications.
